Mark Sherman (musician)
Mark Sherman (born April 17, 1957 in Manhattan) is a jazz vibraphonist, pianist and drummer. He has appeared on more than two dozen film and Broadway soundtracks and dozens of albums as both a leader and a sideman. He is currently on the faculty of The Juilliard School,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.juilliard.edu/faculty/mark-sherman )〕 New Jersey City University〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.njcu.edu/it/faculty-staff-directory/ )〕 and the (New York Jazz Workshop ).
== Early life ==
Sherman was born in New York City. His mother, Edith Gordon, was a Juilliard-trained soprano who performed with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Sherman grew up around opera and studied classical piano as a child.
